Mia the Diva

Why do I think Mia's pre-teen years are going to be miserable beyond belief?
We know she's picky. We know she wants things how she wants them, when she wants them. We know she wants her diaper changed the minute it's dirty. We know when she gets hungry you have about 4 seconds to get her fed. And, now we know that it better not be with a bottle.
She's never really liked eating from the bottle, but she'd eventually take it and complain her way through a couple ounces. Of course, that would mean she'd want to eat again in just an hour or two, but it would get us through a dinner out.
Lately though, she's just decided she will have nothing to do with a bottle. In fact, when she sees the bib coming she starts wailing. We're talking big crocodile tears and crying so hard that she chokes herself. This is all BEFORE we bring her the bottle. Once that gets into her mouth she protests even louder.
We've tried everything. Different bottles. Different bottle givers. Different times of day. I've left so she won't think I'm holding out on her. Someone suggested I start breastfeeding her and then quickly pull her off and slip the bottle in so she won't notice.... um, she noticed.
The general consensus seems to be that she'll take it if she's hungry, but I've got my doubts. She's got quite a stubborn streak. We're still trying to figure out where she got that from. But, she'll hold out for quite some time. I don't know what she'd do if I HAD to go back to work. She'd be one unhappy camper, that's for sure.
Mia the Diva. We need to get a t-shirt printed for her.
