Cocok's for Mia

May 23, 2008

To kick off Mia's 3rd birthday extravaganza, she got her first Cocok toes this week. She has been asking for this since my first Cocok's pedicure right after we arrived. I told her she could go for her birthday so she's been eagerly awaiting the day. Before I made the appointment, I told her she would have to sit super still while they did it and that she couldn't run off and play in the middle. She agreed and took it to heart. On the way there, days later, she very solemnly announced that she would sit very still in the big chair to get Cocok's toes and she would not play. I thought it was pretty cute that she was taking things so seriously, but I had my doubts that it would go smoothly. As it turns out, she did quite well. She was patient the whole time and sat there like a perfect young lady.

Not all is bliss in pedicure land though. Apparently she has inherited my OCD tendencies and insatiable urge to pick at things. Two toes are already missing their fish designs and I'm not sure if the rest of them are going to make it to her birthday party next weekend. At least it was fun GETTING the pedicure!
